Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre

Managed by the Singapore Food Agency, Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre opened in 1983 on a 15.4-hectare site with 26 blocks and over 1,200 shops, stalls and cold rooms. It is Singapore's largest wholesale distribution hub for fruit, vegetables and dried goods, operating 24 hours a day, and its lease has been extended to 2040. It handles the bulk of Singapore's imported fresh-produce wholesale trade.

The centre trades in fruit, vegetables, dried goods and frozen food, supplying supermarkets, food-service operators and re-export traders in Singapore. For Chinese exporters of produce, processed food and cold-chain related equipment, it is an official vantage point for understanding Singapore's food import and wholesale system and the standards applied to incoming suppliers. The centre's cold rooms support year-round produce trade.
