G.B. Road, officially Garstin Bastion Road, runs about 800 metres from Ajmeri Gate to Lahori Gate beside the railway line in Old Delhi. During daytime it is recognised as one of Asia's largest hardware and machinery wholesale streets, lined with dealers of machine tools, power tools, auto parts, plumbing supplies, locks and steel products (shop count to be verified). The street has been Delhi's preferred sourcing address for industrial hardware since the mid-twentieth century.

The street is strongest in industrial machinery, power tools, plumbing pipe fittings, fasteners and bearings, serving engineering contractors and hardware retailers across North India. For Chinese exporters of hand tools, small machinery, water pumps and plumbing fittings, this is a specialist wholesale street for meeting Delhi's machinery and hardware distributors, who in turn supply hardware retailers across North India in container and bulk-lot orders.
