Pasar Turi

Pasar Turi is located in the Bubutan district of central Surabaya and is one of the largest garment and textile wholesale markets in East Java, often described as the biggest wholesale center in eastern Indonesia. The old market building was destroyed by fire and later rebuilt as a modern wholesale mall, reopened as Pasar Turi Baru. It remains one of Surabaya's landmark wholesale destinations.

The market deals in ready-to-wear clothing, Muslim fashion, fabrics and tailoring services, supplying bulk stock to resellers in Surabaya, East Java and outlying islands. For Chinese textile and apparel exporters, it is an important node for entering eastern Indonesia and connecting with wholesalers in the eastern half of Java who distribute on to smaller islands. Eastern Indonesian resellers visit here for bulk clothing stock.
