Food City Agro-cluster

Food City is a huge 24-hour agro-food wholesale cluster at the 22nd kilometre of Kaluzhskoye Shosse in south-western (New) Moscow. It is the core distribution centre for fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, seafood, dry goods and staple foods for Moscow and the surrounding region, ranking among the largest of its kind in Russia. Its exact built-up area is unconfirmed. It is backed by warehousing, cold-chain and logistics facilities.

It focuses on large-volume wholesale of agricultural and food products, supplying the catering, retail and food-processing supply chains across the whole Moscow metropolitan area. Chinese food, seasoning, dried-goods, tea and agricultural-processing producers can use it to enter Russia's bulk food distribution and import trade channels. With round-the-clock trading, cold storage and direct road access from the Moscow Ring Road, it handles high throughput and long-haul delivery to regional wholesalers.
