Riyadh's Old Industrial City, off the Al Kharj Road roundabout, is the capital's longest-established auto-parts and hardware wholesale quarter. Along Al Jamiyyah Street and 40th Street, more than a thousand auto-parts wholesalers cluster by vehicle make, with American, Japanese, Korean and European specialists side by side, alongside hardware tools, car-care products and industrial consumables, supplying Riyadh's repair shops, parts retailers and maintenance contractors.
The quarter runs on bulk wholesale and brand-distributor trade, with several traders explicitly selling complete ranges of vehicle parts wholesale, and shops keeping a morning and afternoon schedule. For Chinese exporters of auto parts, hand tools and car-care products, it is the traditional specialist quarter for reaching importer-wholesalers in Saudi Arabia's central market and entering the Gulf's largest vehicle aftermarket.
