The 9th CIIE Opens Nov 5–10 in Shanghai with Six Exhibition Areas as Countdown Begins
The 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE) will take place Nov 5–10, 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), under the theme "New Era, Shared Future." According to official information, the business exhibition spans more than 360,000 square metres and is organized into six areas—food and agricultural products, automobiles, intelligent industry and information technology, consumer goods, medical equipment and healthcare products, and trade in services—along with an innovation incubation zone for seed, start-up and growth-stage companies.
The CIIE is the world's first national-level expo focused on imports. Official figures show that, since its launch, it has drawn over 27,000 enterprise participations from more than 180 countries and regions, with intended deals exceeding US$580 billion. During the countdown, floor plans and the country exhibition lineup have been released, and registration for professional visitors, public visitors and media has opened; multinationals in technology, medical devices, autos, consumer goods and food & agriculture continue to show high renewal rates.
For Chinese manufacturers and exporters, the CIIE complements the Canton Fair: it is a window onto global new technologies, equipment, materials and China's import demand, and a channel to source upstream equipment, key components and international brands. Buyers can register via the official CIIE website and mini-program, or browse the online exhibition hall and exhibitor lists.
The 10th CIIE is already scheduled for Nov 5–10, 2027, with booth sales underway, indicating the platform's continuity. Companies are advised to track relevant equipment, technology and raw-material trends in their categories to prepare for next year's procurement and equipment upgrades.
