Lohar Chawl Electrical & Lighting Wholesale Market

Lohar Chawl in Mumbai's Kalbadevi district, near Crawford Market, is the city's largest wholesale street for electrical goods and lighting. Its lanes are packed with hundreds of wholesalers of wires and cables, switches and sockets, LED lamps and lighting fixtures (shop count to be verified), coordinated by the local Electrical Merchants' Association, and the cluster also serves project and interior-designer buyers from across Maharashtra.

The street specialises in wholesale wires and cables, low-voltage electrical gear and lighting, from LED bulbs and chandeliers to industrial lighting. For Chinese exporters of lighting fixtures, cables, switches and small appliances, it is a suitable place to meet Mumbai's electrical distributors and reach Maharashtra's retail channels, as well as contractors sourcing project quantities of switchgear and fittings, with most shops dealing only in wholesale lots rather than single-unit retail sales.
