Can one automatic packaging machine handle different bag types?
Whether one machine can handle multiple bag types depends on the bag style, width range, sealing method, product characteristics, and changeover design. Simple size changes may be handled by adjusting the former, tooling, or machine settings, while different sealing methods or substantially different bag styles may require dedicated components. Before purchasing, give the supplier all planned bag types, dimensions, and materials and ask them to specify which formats can share the same setup, which parts must be changed, and the expected changeover time. Do not rely only on a supplier’s claim that the machine supports multiple bag types.
