Which dosing method is suitable for viscous products?
• For viscous products, choose positive-displacement rotary lobe or screw pumps, not gravity dosing.
• For high accuracy, use servo-driven gear pumps with dosing error within ±0.5%.
• Above 100,000 cP or with particulates, use piston dosing cylinders with large-port valves.
• Avoid flowmeters or gravimetric dosing; wall adhesion causes errors exceeding ±2%.
• Require FAT with actual product over 50 cycles; CV must be below 1%.
