Should a packaging machine stop when a safety door is opened?
• Must stop: opening the safety door trips the interlock and cuts power, per GB/T 15706 and CE Machinery Directive.
• Monitor door switches via safety relay or safety PLC, never a standard limit switch.
• Heat-seal jaws, cutters and servo motors must halt within 2 s to prevent crushing.
• For observation only, use low-speed jog mode with light curtains; never bypass the interlock.
• Record door-open stop response time during FAT as a mandatory acceptance item.
