Where should the emergency-stop button be located on a meat grinder?

Mount the emergency stop where the operator stands and can hit it without reaching over the hopper or guard—typically front-right or beside the feed opening, roughly 900–1100 mm high. Pressing it must cut power to the auger and feed screw while keeping only essential control circuits live. Test the trigger force and confirm reset needs a twist or pull to prevent accidental restart. Where an elevator or conveyor is interlocked, check that the stop halts them together. On acceptance, time each machine from trigger to full stop and log the reset sequence.
