Running 0.5 mm slices reliably over long shifts demands reserve capacity in blade sharpness, product temperature, feed rigidity and thickness adjustment, since drift in any one causes ragged or uneven cuts. Before buying, fix the target thickness and tolerance, then have the maker slice your actual product continuously rather than a few show pieces. At acceptance, track thickness spread and intact rate across a sustained run instead of judging from one or two slices. File those continuous results against the final blade and feed configuration, and re-test incoming units under identical conditions, rejecting any that exceed the agreed deviation.
