Start by pinning down where the slicer will actually be sold and used, then map that market's mandatory rules on guarding, electrical safety, food-contact materials, label wording and manual language. Have the supplier confirm in writing how each item—enclosure, emergency stop, guard-door interlock, earthing, warning marks—is met, and on a full line state clearly who owns inter-machine interlocks. Never wait until installation to add safety parts. At acceptance, test interlock trip and reset point by point, log slice-thickness consistency and product core temperature, and file the signed results with the machine documents.
