How should incoming inspection be specified for commercial heating elements?
Incoming inspection should tie each lot to its traceable batch number before checking four layers: appearance, dimensions, electrical values and function. Verify sheath diameter, length, thread or flange hole spacing against the approved drawing; measure cold insulation resistance and resistance converted to power tolerance, with a dielectric test where required. Sample per carton or lot, never the first piece alone. Under real operating conditions record heat-up time, sheath temperature, stability and thermostat or over-temperature cut-out response, and confirm terminal protection and surface load stay within design limits.
