How should gas-to-electric conversion be specified for commercial heating elements?

Gas-to-electric conversion is not just replacing a burner with a tubular element. First recalculate power and watt density from the actual duty, including medium, flow rate, inlet-to-outlet temperature rise and heat-up time, then specify sheath diameter, material, surface treatment and IP protection, and check mounting space, flange or threaded connections, supply capacity, cable size and protective devices. For control, confirm sensor location, temperature and over-temperature limits, and interlock logic with the existing system. Treat the retrofit as a project: record agreed tolerances, test conditions and drawing revision, and at commissioning check insulation, dielectric strength, leakage current, temperature behaviour, fit and protection response against those records.
