Before removal, isolate power, relieve pressure, and cool to a safe temperature, then inspect flange or threaded sealing faces, insulation resistance, and grounding. After fitting, measure cold resistance first, ramp up gradually, and check that current and temperature rise match the approved drawing, confirming the protection rating, control interlock, and over-temperature trip operate correctly; finally file the measured values with the drawing.
