Should sausage slicing use a round blade or another cutting structure?
Round blades suit sausage slicing when a continuous, clean cut is needed, but they can crush or slip on tough casings, large diameters or coarse emulsions; in those cases consider a straight blade, saw blade or servo-guided reciprocating head. Before choosing, give the supplier the actual diameter, casing material, firmness and target thickness, then trial-cut real product and check cross-section integrity, thickness tolerance and feed stability. If formats change often, verify fixtures and guides allow quick adjustment without structural modification. For acceptance, log cut yield, trim weight and changeover time during continuous running for later review.
