How should wash-down suitability be evaluated when buying a lifting noodle cooker?
Skip vague claims like fully wash-down rated. Have the supplier mark on drawings which zones may be hosed, the IP rating of electrical enclosures, and how the lifting mechanism and drive are sealed off from the spray path. Before shipment, run one wash cycle using your kitchen's real water pressure, temperature, detergent and duration, noting splash reach and insulation resistance. On an auto-lifting noodle boiler, the lift rails, basket hooks and control cabinet are the usual water-ingress points, so inspect them for pooling and set those limits in the specification.
