How should bearing sealing be evaluated when buying a rotating clay-pot cooker?
Before choosing a rotary claypot rice cooker, check whether the bearing seal can withstand wok-range fumes, steam, and daily washdown, then confirm the lubrication method and replacement interval. Don't rely on catalogue figures alone: ask how the seal is built (labyrinth, lip, or combined), its temperature rating, and whether it can be swapped without pulling the turntable. On arrival, run the machine for two hours or more, feel the bearing-housing temperature rise, listen for abnormal noise, and measure radial and axial play at the turntable. If wobble is already excessive when empty, loaded operation will be worse. Put the seal part number, grease type, and allowable clearance into the technical agreement, and fix the first grease and seal change intervals.
