How should safety interlocks be evaluated when buying an automatic cooking machine?

Do not judge wok-robot safety interlocks by the presence of a lid switch alone. Trigger each one under real cooking conditions: with the guard or lid open, tossing, batch loading and stir-frying must halt at once, and restart only after a deliberate reset. Verify the switch is wired into the safety circuit, not merely feeding a status lamp, and test in both automatic and manual modes. Request the interlock logic diagram and fault response time, then retest on site with an actual recipe so a compliant demo unit does not hide a stripped-down production machine.
