How should upper and lower limits be evaluated when buying a lifting noodle cooker?
To judge the limits on an auto-lifting noodle boiler, run ten cycles each at no load, full load and mid-cycle emergency stop. With a feeler gauge, confirm the upper limit stops the lifting basket with safe clearance above the boiling water, while the lower limit fully submerges the basket without hitting the tank bottom. The limit switch's normally closed contact must sit inside the safety circuit so any break kills the lift motor and sounds an alarm; a unit that merely mounts switches without wiring them into that chain is a reject. Log trip position, reset deviation and motor current together—drift beyond two millimetres or a failed reset disqualifies the machine. File those readings with the unit and recheck them each seasonal service, since rail wear shifts the limits over time.
