How should the slicer blade be handled safely during cleaning?
Before cleaning a slicer, isolate the power and apply lockout, then wait until the blade has fully stopped. Use the supplied tool to release the blade assembly and lift it out as a unit, laying it on a cut-resistant tray or rack. Grip the hub or spine, never the edge. Where blades are removable, wash and dry them individually and apply food-grade anti-rust oil; fixed designs call for a guard and brushing residue away from the cutting direction. At acceptance, watch a full removal and refit, confirm the guard, tooling and edge condition match the approved setup, and record wear limits and storage method for pre-shipment checks.
