How should filter-screen position be evaluated when buying a lifting noodle cooker?

Don't rely on the catalogue diagram of the filter screen. Run several batches at your normal water level and heat, then watch where broken noodles and starch collect, and whether draining slows. Pull the screen out: can you reach the frame edge, the tank floor and the drain mouth by hand, with no trapped crumbs? If it sits behind a fixed panel or needs pipework removed, that is a hygiene dead corner and should fail acceptance. Record its position, removal method and debris pattern on the handover sheet so every shift checks the same way.
