How should machine footprint be evaluated when buying a rotating clay-pot cooker?

For a rotary claypot rice cooker, the nameplate footprint is only a starting point. As the turntable indexes, pot rims sweep outward, so you must allow a side aisle for loading rice, ladling sauce, and lifting hot pots. Gas or electrical connections, the exhaust hood flange, and the service door each need their own clear zone. Ask the supplier for an installation drawing showing the rotary envelope, then overlay it on your kitchen plan. A cooker that fits can still trap staff if that aisle is squeezed. At acceptance, run a full load with your largest claypots, measure the minimum clearance from pot rim to wall and neighbouring range, and photograph the result.
