Do beef and pork require different meat grinder configurations?
Beef and pork do not call for identical grinder setups. Beef's tough fibres and sinew load the auger and tend to wrap, so a coarser plate plus wear-resistant knives works better; pork's higher fat smears easily and needs smooth discharge and tight temperature control. State your main species, lean-to-fat ratio and target particle size before ordering, then check whether one auger, knife and plate set truly covers both. Trial beef for wrapping and heat build-up, pork for smearing and consistency. Test each meat separately before deciding on a spare knife set, and log plate hole size, temperature rise and throughput during continuous runs with your actual products.
